For ages, man has always been encouraged to take care of his environment. A number of writings in the scriptures attest to that. But the scriptures were not the only source of inspiration. As recently as 1977, Sir Dawda Jawara, in his Banjul Declaration, encouraged all of us to take positive actions to nurse our environment. He had realised that if we continued to look the other, we will end up with an unprecedented environmental catastrophe. This is why he said, – “Concern for the environment is a duty we owe, not only to ourselves, but to our great African heritage”.

Inspired by that Vision, The Kairaba Conservation & Leadership Organization, solicits your support to help protect and promote the legacy of one of Africa’s greatest leaders, Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara, a bonafide conservationist in his own right. We call every one of you to join KairaCLO to pick up the mantle of our great leader and continue the work of saving our planet as he would have wished, if he were alive. Together, let us work for a more sustainable future. Your support will have a meaningful impact to the work of KairaCLO in our efforts to mitigate the damages to our environment and ensure environmental justice for future generations.

Whether you represent a company or you act as an individual, you can pledge part of your annual Corporate Social Responsibility portfolio to KairaCLO and you can tell us how you want us to use it for your preferred environmental concern. We encourage all Gambians to rally around this noble vision to save our flora and fauna by contributing to the national process of capacity building for the Citizenry, empowering individuals and Communities, through relevant development-oriented Leadership programs. Donate generously and ensure a more sustainable future. For more information on how you can call us on +220 218 9395 or +220 992 1441, to make arrangements for your contribution. You are also invited to visit our website on http://www.kairaclo.co.gm. We look forward to your generosity to protect our collective future. Finally, please join us in prayer to keep the Memory of Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara’s leadership qualities alive.
